Delicious New Latham Seafood Eatery Opening Later This Month

The summer months are prime seafood eating time. Now you will have a new Capital Region spot to get some shrimp, lobster, and more!

When it comes to different foods in the Capital Region, certain types of cuisine are very well represented. From Italian to steakhouses to Mexican and so many others, there are simply numerous different restaurants to choose from and try out. But when it comes to seafood, while we certainly have some great places to dine, we just don't have a wide array of choices.

Even with a few places opening over the last few years like Sea Smoke on Green Island and the Boil Shack on Wolf road a few years ago, seafood still feels like an underrepresented food lane here in the Capital Region. Later this month, some help is on the way.

The Mighty Crab In Latham Sets Timeline For Opening Day

A new seafood restaurant called the Mighty Crab is taking over the old Ruby Tuesday location on Troy-Schenectady Road in Latham, and according to their Facebook page will be opening later this month. According to Notes on Napkins, Mighty Crab is a Missippi based chain operating restaurants in the South and several in New York.

Their menu is pretty robust as well with all kinds of great seafood options like blue crab, shrimp, snow crab, mussels, lobster tails, oysters, and more. They also will be offering daily seafood combo specials if you would like to get a little taste of everything! And just in case you have a diner with you who only eats land creatures, they have some chicken options as well.
