As a man I'm honestly not expecting much this Valentine's Day or any Valentine's Day for that matter. I can't be the only one out there.

I can't think of one time I was ever surprised on a 14th of February.

Another Valentine's Day is upon us and I can't help but wonder if it's just a hallmark holiday or not. Who is this holiday really designed for? I don't think it was created with my best interest in mind or any other man's for that matter. I believe it was the opposite actually.

Every year countless men scramble to find their significant others special gifts to show just how much they mean to them.

What even is a good Valentine's Day gift? Is a good gift dinner, roses, jewelry or all of the above? Do some people make a list of what they want?

The problem is it's a holiday designed to celebrate both people in a relationship but that hardly ever seems to be the case. Both people can't pay for dinner. If you go Dutch then it's not treating someone and it's not special.

Men don't want the traditional gifts. We don't really care about jewelry, roses or chocolate. So what do we get on Valentine's Day?

Believe it or not most of the time we don't get anything and yet no one ever seems to care.

On Valentine's Day I'll be going all out to make my wife's day special and I'm not sure if I'll get very much in return.
