Foodies Say This Capital Region Bakery Has Best Bread In NY
It is time to go on an Upstate New York carbo-load! The state's best, fresh-baked bread is right here in the Captial Region.
Have you ever gone out for dinner and ruined your main course feasting too much on that pre-dinner bread? Yeah, I have been there too. Sometimes you can't help yourself once you start enjoying some delicious carbs. But I will also add this: you only indulge in those carbs when that bread is extra special. I think you agree, when you go on a bread binge it's gotta be great.
Throughout the Capital Region, we are truly blessed with some amazing bakeries and specifically some very talented bread makers. But a relatively new cafe is really making some waves on the bread front, so much so they have been recognized by a national foodie magazine as having the best bread in the state of New York. Pretty impressive considering the culinary center of the world, New York City, is in the mix!
Food and Wine Magazine Says A Hudson Cafe Has the Best Bread In NY
Want to see some good lookin' bread?
That is some tasty lookin' bread, am I right? And it comes from the Hudson Cafe that Food and Wine Magazine recently recognized as having the best bread in New York state.
We are talking about Breadfolks on Warren Street in Hudson, New York which opened for business in 2020, part of an explosion of sorts of amazing bread bakeries that emerged during the pandemic according to the Food & Wine story. The magazine goes on to call Breadfolks the best bread Hudson has ever seen and included this description of their award-winning offerings:
The wood-fired loaves, some of them made with grain grown right on the farm, are as rustic as they come; this is bread to be eaten in a kitchen with century-old exposed wood beams, perhaps along with a cup of strong coffee, fresh from the percolator.
This sounds like the kind of bread you could ruin your main course with, am I right?
