Bills fans discover major problem with new stadium
After putting $2.1 billion into a brand new Highmark stadium, Buffalo Bills fans expected something great. After all, many Bills fans were not looking forward to the old Highmark stadium being replaced. While many fans will enjoy the bigger concourses and the gigantic folding table built into the stadium, which is ridiculously cool, the fans who attended the Bills Red VS Blue practice exposed many issues with the new stadium.
Nearly 52,000 fans were in attendance this past weekend for practice. However, hundreds of fans in the building had an obstructed view of the field.
As you can see, this is not a couple of bad seats in the nosebleeds with poor views. Several hundred seats were captured and views obstructed by a railing. Fans who bought seats at the new stadium even had a chance to take a virtual tour before making their purchases, and even that added more problems.
This fan had tried to confirm whether or not the virtual view was accurate and if there'd be an obstructed view from their seats.
The virtual tour picture compared to the actual reality of this fan's view shows how much of a problem this could be. Considering the stadium used $850 million in taxpayer funds to get built, this is not a great look.
These are only a couple of the hundreds of pictures and posts regarding this issue. Some fans as high as 3 rows up in their sections had obstructed views. Meaning at least 3 rows in those sections have obstructions in their view of the field.
Unfortunately, it's not like the Bills can remove a railing or staircase at this point, so those fans who sit in these seats will have to deal with the obstructions. But, if you ask me, I wouldn't pay full price for a seat that doesn't see the full field.
