Two of the Most Haunted Hotels in America are right here in New York State.
October is the month for fall foliage, apple picking, carving pumpkins into jack-o-lanterns and of course as many haunted Halloween happenings you can pack into 31 days. But, would you spend the night at one of the Nation's most haunted hotels?

USA Today have announced the results in their search for the Best Haunted Hotels in America. What they discovered is that 2 of the 10 best haunted hotels are right here in the Empire State. Before we reveal the local findings here are some haunted hotels outside of New York.
- Stanley Hotel - Estes Park, Colorado - This is the hotel that inspired author Stephen King as the setting for "The Shining".
- The Marshall House - Savannah, Georgia
Hotel Saranac, located in Saranac Lake, NY, ranked 10th best haunted hotel in America and second best haunted hotel in New York. The hotel was originally constructed at the height of the Roaring Twenties. Today, it’s listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Rumors of ghostly activity have plagued the Hotel Saranac Great Hall since its inception. Unexplained footsteps, doors shutting, and flickering lights are commonplace in this historic bar.
Fainting Goat Island Inn, located in Nichols, NY, ranked as the best haunted hotel in America.
