LA Dawgz Serving Up Tasty Late Night Eats Around Albany
When we think about hot dogs in Upstate New York usually we think of them in the more traditional way. The classic way would of course be a mini dog with meat sauce, onions, and mustard. However, this example is just one way to enjoy a hot dog around here and with so many great places offering their own style it was really refreshing to find a place that is making hot dogs a bit differently.

On Friday night I was out in Albany at Lost and Found. That place alone is a great way to spend a Friday night, but they had the folks at LA Dawgz set up cooking up not just hot dogs, but tacos as well. The excitement that I had when I saw them and smelled the bacon wrapped hot dog was unreal.

These are fusion of Southern California and Mexican styles and they are fantastic. I personally grabbed the LA Dawg which consisted of a bacon wrapped all beef hot dog, mustard, ketchup, mayo, and fajita style peppers on top. It was a 10 out of 10 and hit the spot.
I have not had this Mexican style hot dog since I was in Downtown San Antonio, Texas and it was such an amazing find. I'll now need to make sure I am eating their food more often when I am out around Albany.
Where is LA Dawgz located?
The easy thing to say is they are all over the place. That's because it's true. They set up in different places all over the Albany area. They generally post on their official Instagram page to let folks know their weekly schedule. They seem to consistently be at the Washington Park Farmer's Market on Saturdays in Albany.
Don't sleep on them. I can't wait to get another hot dog from them and try the tacos on their menu, too.
