New York State Police have been investigating a missing persons case since around Thanksgiving. Now officers are seeking the public's help in locating this missing man from the Broome County area.

On Friday January 3, 2025, according to a New York State Police press release, 68-year-old Edward L. Crampton was reported missing to State Police in Binghamton. Mr. Crampton has not been seen by his family since Thanksgiving time.

Edward L. Crampton is known to stay in his vehicle on Old Route 17 near ARS Auto in Windsor, NY. Crampton does not drive the vehicle and the vehicle does not appear to have moved from Old Route 17.

Mr. Crampton is described to be approximately 5'7" with green eyes and grey hair. He has been known to walk to Mirabito convenience store or Big M supermarket but has not been seen at either location recently.

It's believed that Crampton does not currently have a working cellphone. Troopers have checked the area, with local shelters and local hospitals but have not been able to locate Crampton. If you have seen Crampton or know of his whereabouts, contact New York State Police at 607-561-7400.
