If you were set to put the snow shovel away you may want to hold off for a few weeks. It doesn't look like winter is quite done with us. I'm blaming Canada once again for this system that looks like it is working its way downward. It is cold out and a small amount of snow is expected tonight into Tuesday.

While it isn't uncommon to get snow in the spring, it doesn't make it any less annoying to deal with. We've all had about enough of this and were looking forward to it being in the rearview.

A clipper system looks to track near or just south of the area tonight into Tuesday bringing some snow showers or a localized rain/snow mix.

Will it end up being a lot of snow? Thankfully no. This looks like it will only be a small amount mixed with rain. Things could be a bit slippery on untreated surfaces, so just be sure to use a little extra caution.

This is just that little reminder that we seem to get each spring that we shouldn't get so comfortable so fast when it comes to spring weather. We did at least have a few days to do some lawn clean up before it's covered again, or at least just covered for a little while.

After this system works its way through Upstate New York our temperatures look to be on the upward trend. This weekend could see temps in the Capital Region close to the 70s or in the 70s. Spring continues to be unpredictable in these first few weeks.
