Saratoga Springs Police Respond To Package Left At Portnoy’s Doorstep
Saratoga Springs Police Department respond to a report of a suspicious package left on the doorstep at the New York home of Barstool Sports' Dave Portnoy. The following message was written on a brown paper bag:
El Presidente, King of the Scumbags. Go birds! - Joseph's Pizza Parlor

According to a video posted on Dave 'El Presidente' Portnoy's social media pages, Portnoy returned to his Saratoga home just in time for the 2026 Travers Stakes at Saratoga Race Course.
When he arrived, Portnoy was greeted by a suspicious package and a note from the Saratoga Police Department. The investigation found nothing to be concerned about, as a matter of fact the reference to 'scumbag', in this case, is complimentary.
Turns out Joseph's Pizza Parlor is a pizza joint out of Philadelphia. Well, Dave Portnoy has been known to refer to Philadelphia sports fans as scumbags. Portnoy would tell you it is a term of endearment, and Philly fans would agree.
Problem is the Saratoga Police Department didn't know this. They actually thought this could be a threat to his social status in the area and possibly a bomb threat. Kudos to Toga PD for looking out for residents.

For Philly fans, 'kudos' means praise or respect for a job well done. So kudos to Joseph's Pizza Parlor for coming up with a clever way to get Portnoy's attention and generating some curiosity for your spot.
If you really want to reach Dave's heart and grab his attention gifts for Miss Peaches and Pete the Beagle area a good way to go. Better yet, you can support Great Beginnings Adoption Center in Argyle, NY. The 501(c)(3) nonprofit public charity uses contributions to fund medical care, spaying and neutering, and transportation for rescued dogs.
