
Urgent: Help NY State Police Solve the Upstate Motel Burglary!

New York State Police are reporting property damage and theft among some of the illegal activity at the Cottonwood Motel on Route 44 in Millbrook.

New York State Troopers are investigating a burglary that allegedly took place between 3pm on Saturday April 5th and 11am on Sunday April 6th at the Cottonwood Motel, 7 Fowler Road in Millbrook.
The person or persons responsible caused damage to the property and stole several items that belong to the New York State Police. Troopers indicate that these items pose no threat to the public.

According to Saland Law, burglary is charged in New York State when the theft is from a building such as an office, school, store and a motel, as examples. If convicted of burglary a criminal could face between 7 and 25 years in State prison.
