Adirondack Lakeside Getaways Expands With New Lake George Cabins
The family behind Adirondack Lakeside Getaways is planning to bring more cabin charm to Lake George. They’re looking to build a second rental property less than a mile from Million Dollar Beach, adding to their growing collection of cozy vacation spots.
According to the Albany Business Review, the project would sit on nearly four acres along Route 9L, between East Shore Drive and Bloody Pond Road.
Plans include 30 cabins in total. Ten cabins will be one bedroom, and twenty will have two bedrooms. There will be a maintenance building and an open space for recreation. The cabins would be available for short-term rentals, giving visitors another relaxing place to stay close to town.
This would be the second property for Erin Joyce and her partner, Tyler Wojcik. They opened their first Adirondack Lakeside Getaways site in 2022, just down the road, with eight rustic cabins that blend the feel of the Adirondacks with modern comfort. Their goal is to create places that feel like home while still offering the charm of a mountain retreat.
For this new site, the couple included sample designs from Northeastern Log Homes in Maine. Each cabin would range from 600 to 700 square feet with open-concept kitchens and living areas, plus either one or two bedrooms. The look leans classic Adirondack with warm wood tones, simple lines, and plenty of natural light.
The proposal goes before the Lake George Planning Board in November for early feedback. If approved, it could soon become another favorite getaway spot for visitors who love the region’s natural beauty and laid-back atmosphere.
