Two weeks ago, I published an article titled: "Are Apple Cider Doughnuts Overrated?" This was a cause I truly believed in at the time, and if you want to hear my reasoning behind this outlandish claim, you can check it out here:

Read More: Are Apple Cider Doughnuts Over or Underrated??

Well ladies and gentlemen, I've never been happier to say: I was wrong.

Cut Me Some Slack

Listen, I'm new to the northeast. I grew up in Georgia and Florida, and spent a few years in Arizona. Despite having plenty of family in New York, Connecticut, and Vermont, I never had a an Apple Cider Doughnut up until I moved here.

Even then, it took me almost a year to have my first, and solely because my girlfriend's mother bought me a dozen by surprise. While they were great, I felt a little underwhelmed, it was just a pretty decent doughnut. I didn't see what the hype was, it felt the same as a really good chocolate frosted.

I WAS WRONG

This past Sunday my girlfriend and I went to Indian Ladder Farms in Altamont. She had a coupon for a free cider doughnut, so after we picked our apples, she said I needed to give them another shot.

And let me just say: WOW. That was the first, fresh baked cider doughnut I'd had and it blew me away. I finally understood what everyone had been talking about, and my mind is entirely changed.

I'm going to have 200 of them by the time fall is over, I can't wait.
