Popular Latham & Saratoga Springs Burger Joints Closing For Good
Another beloved Capital Region burger joint is closing up shop.
It's always tough to hear about any local business closing its doors, and it has been an especially tough stretch for local burger fans.
Last month we got the news that Burger 21 on Route 9 in Latham was closing, and now another local favorite is calling it a day.
BurgerFi To Close Saratoga Springs and Latham Locations
When BurgerFi first arrived in the Captial Region a decade ago, it quickly became a local favorite for delicious, high-end burgers. This weekend they will grill up their last patties.
According to a News 10 report, both the Latham and Saratoga Springs BurgerFi locations' last day open will be this Sunday, December 1st.
BurgerFi International filed for bankruptcy in September and News 10 says local owners Bill, Michael, and Vincent Lia "...chose not to renew their franchise agreements following difficulties the national brand was facing." Bill Lia said "“We’re grateful to our loyal customers and dedicated team members who have supported us over the years..." and the family is researching new ways to serve their local communities in these retail spaces.
So far 2024 has been a very busy year with numerous closings of some of our favorite local and national retail outlets/restaurants in what has been a tough economic climate with many closig locations due to bankrupcty proceedings. Below is a list of some of the business affected here in the Capital Region.
