Summer is just around the corner, and there is nothing like going swimming in one of the seventy-six hundred lakes in New York State. There is one beautiful lake in Upstate New York that is on a list of twenty that could become the best lake in the country for swimming.

According to USA Today's 10 Best Reader's Choice Poll, twenty lakes are listed as the best swimming spots in the country. The list includes natural water features as well as human-made bodies of water.

There are thousands of beautiful lakes in New York State alone. What an amazing coop for one Capital Region lake to be one of the best in the country for swimming.

Living in Upstate New York, we know that Lake George is amazing. Lake George is forty-five square miles and features sandy Million Dollar Beach where you can paddleboard, sunbathe, and swim.

Lake George has fishing holes, cliffs for jumping, miles to cruise on a boat, and many spots for swimming. Not to mention, it is one of the cleanest lakes in the country. We spend most of our summer on Lake George.
