What is a Scratch Bakery?

According to Nyx owner and head baker, Shannon Dowen-Ronda, she says it means that what they make is all from scratch. She said:

A lot of places claim that but we do it. We want to be a place where you can get things you wouldn't necessarily see together in the same place.

She said baked goods such as authentic French-style macarons, babka, and bundt cakes.

When Will The Storefront Open?

They are hoping to be open by the first week of October. But that doesn't mean you can't get their goodies. They will still be available on Saturdays at the Delmar Farmers Market, and the Lark Street Mercantile in Albany and you can also order online for delivery and pick-up.

Once the storefront opens on Lark Street they are hoping to offer breakfast sandwiches and other prepared foods at Nyx.
