It's time to stand up for one of the Capital Region's own.
Ya know, it grinds my gears a little bit when out of towners are so quick to judge our local cities as the worst in anything. Looking at various city statistics from a distance with no local frame of reference is no way to rate how good or bad a place is to live.
And yes, in the interest of full transparency, no city is perfect. They never are, they never will be. But regardless, here are the 11 worst cities in New York to call home according to Money Inc.
How did they come up with these rankings? Money Inc. based this list on a combination of "...factors such as the safety...the performance of the public schools, the diversity of employment opportunities, and if there is a good choice of leisure and entertainment options in the area." Here are the top 11 worst places to live in New York, followed by 10 reasons why our beloved Captial Region city should be nowhere near this list.
