The new Bass Pro Shops location in Clifton Park is making some serious progress. This 70,000-square-foot store, expected to open in the summer of 2025, will serve the outdoor community in the greater Albany and Adirondacks region.
More renderings of the brand-new Buffalo Bills Stadium have been released. No there isn't a dome but this looks awesome. Even though the renderings may change, the location will not. It will sit on a section of the old parking lots for the current stadium. It will be located on the other side of Abbott Road in Orchard Park. If everything is on schedule, they are hoping to have the new stadium built in the fall of 2026.
More reconstruction is coming and this time it's the Watervliet riverfront. The Hudson Shores Park will be getting a complete overhaul including replacing the old Rusty Anchor Restaurant and Bar.
We have all been waiting for the brand new, stunning Clifton Park Druthers Brewing Company to open and today (September 15th) was supposed to be the big day. But according to their Facebook page, they aren't able to open it just yet.
Tobin's First Prize operated from 1924 until 1981 in the Colonie building as a meat packing plant. They also manufactured fertilizers, glue, and animal hides, and it became a meat packing operation according to Spotlight News. There were offices, a boiler room, freezers, coolers, a machine shop, two incinerators, a hog pen, and a laboratory. There was a scare recently where demolition had to be halted to deal with a possible ammonia leak. Now all that stands is the 200-foot smokestack. There is no word of when that will be coming down.
