I was blown away when I found out that Deshaun Watson was traded to the Cleveland Browns on Friday.  It is a major risk reward move by a clearly desperate team.  I thought for sure that Watson was going to go to either the Falcons or Saints.  We never heard anything about this after it was reported that Watson wasn't interested in joining the Cleveland Browns last week.  According to Jake Trotter via espn.com, the Texans traded their next three first round picks from 2022, 2023, and 2024.  Watson signed a five year contract worth $230 million guaranteed.  It is the most guaranteed money ever offered in a contract in NFL history by $80 million.

Michael Johnson Jr and I had an awesome conversation with our good friend from ESPN Sal Paolantonio about the craziness of NFL free agency.  Below is a clip with all of us talking about the Deshaun Watson trade to the Browns.

I do agree with Sal Pal where he talks about this whole Deshaun Watson saga not being over.  If the NFL continues to pursue the 22 civil lawsuits filed against Watson, which they will, than things could get ugly.  He will most likely face a significant suspension, and the investigation could lead to personal evidence such as text messages, emails, and phone calls to all be released.  We will see how this all plays out.

One thing is for sure, Deshaun Watson is a very talented quarterback but this is a risky decision by the Browns to give him all of this money without the guarantee of him being your starting quarterback anytime soon.
