Captain Mom-Erica: February’s Hometown Hero
When we talked to Lieutenant Erica Debie from the Ballston Lake Fire Department to inform her that she'd been nominated to be February's Hometown Hero she immediately corrected us. "I'm the Captain now, guys" she quickly informed us. The promotion happened recently and we were thrilled to hear about her recently anointed honor. Erica Debie from Burnt Hills is not only the captain of the all-volunteer fire department, she's a single mom who also is very active with her 8-year-old son and involved heavily at his school, Charlton Heights elementary. What little boy wouldn't be inspired by an amazing mom, volunteer, and chief! Listen to the phone call here that we recently made to Erica Debie, February's Hometown Hero.
