Tired Of Christmas Already? Let The City Of Troy Help!
Ah... the first week of January. The holidays are over, you're back in the office, and you feel like you just got hit by a truck only to be thrown onto train tracks and run over by a train.
To add insult to injury, all your Christmas decorations are still up, taunting you with visions of a happier time of year. Tired of it? Well, let the City of Troy help you get rid of some of it.

Christmas Tree Collection
Starting on January 6th, the City of Troy will begin their Christmas Tree Recycling Program, allowing you to dispose of your trees safely and easily. The program will be run by Quality-of-Life Action Crews, who will go door to door collecting these trees and disposing of them properly.
Only real trees are allowed, so if you're looking to get rid of your titanium, neon-pink "tree", you're better off trying to find a dumpster that can fit it.
Everything You Need to Know
Trees can be placed on your curb on your regularly scheduled recycling collection day, specifically January 6th and January 19th. If you're unable to place it on the curb, you can also bring your tree to the Troy Resource Management Facility (Alamo) on the corner of Main Street and East Industrial Parkway. You can drop off here on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 9a.m. and 1p.m. until the 19th.
In order to ensure these pickups are safe, please remember to remove all the ornaments, lights, and tree stands for a quick and easy pickup.
