According to this NYS DEC Twitter post, officers responded to a call regarding a bird in distress. Somehow a Red-tailed Hawk found himself stuck in a picnic table at Lakeside Park in Carlton, NY.

How this poor guy ended up in this predicament we may never know. How will he get free is what needs to be answered first. NYS DEC Officer Fonda to the rescue. First take a look at the scene when Officer Fonda arrived.

Maybe this hawk was trying to have his own picnic when he got stuck. Maybe his hawk friends pulled a prank on him and then flew off.
